lombradelvino: Great that you've traveled to the native lands of so many grapes! If you had to choose your favorite destination from among them, which would it be?
About Me
I like to think of myself as a compassionate, patient, caring, loving, creative, (I could go on...) did I say "humble" person, with a great sense of humor. I try to spend more time laughing than worrying, especially about the things in life of which we have no control. I am an interior designer by trade and I love my work. I love creativity in all forms--music, acting, art, sculpture, design, dance, and food. I am passionate about relationships with family and friends and good wine.
My love of wine began some 18 years ago with my first visit to the Napa Valley wine country. I found my first wine tasting experience so interesting. The description of the aroma, flavor, texture, ..the intensity and sophistication of the process to produce a bottle of wine was amazing. I had no idea winemaking was an art! Needless to say I was hooked.
I now travel internationally realtively often and try to experience as many varietals of each country as possible, I have noticed most European countries serve excellent every day table wines in their resaurants, but for me, my true love is still those California grapes.
