mmspac → OpusJake1: Can't see the HD too well, what model? I have a Deuce. Although you should not do both at the same time, it is great to see more riders taking an interest in wine.

We stay in great B&B's, keeping the cost reasonable, but the interaction with locals is a real bonus. Think business expense! I drink mostly dry reds, anything except Shiraz, which comes off as sweet to me. Bordeaux, Cahors, Burgundy, peppery Spanish, rich Italian, Chilean.......

It is interesting to find such diversity. I thought I was the only one who wanted to get more involved w/wine, loved motorcycles and yes hockey too. will have to look me up on Facebook. I have pics of my youngest daughter and I at the Charlotte Checkers game for her 21st B-day. I am raising her right, she is the only one of my children that like wine.

About Me
I currently work in the healthcare industry. I have 5 grown children and 5 grandchildren. I ride a Harley (Softail Custom, brand spankin' new. IT IS HOT!) and I am looking to change my interest in wine to a profitable business, (so I can buy more of the wine I really like to drink and travel more too). Yes, it is all about me.
I have my Intermediate Level 2, Certification in Wine and Spirits from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) that I received from Johnson & Wales. I just finished an intermediate class on Bordeaux and Tuscany. I would love input on the "business" aspect of wine, networking and generally learning all I can about how to share my passion for the vine with others (especially those who say they hate the stuff even though they have only had it once or twice in their lifetime).

If there is one thing that the region of Bordeaux is proud of, it would probably be its line of wines. For the record, Bordeaux is the largest wine-producing region in the whole world, and it would only follow that they produce the best wines available in the market today. Bordeaux is famous for its red wines, though, of course, its white varieties are doing exceptionally good as well.
Every Bordeaux wine possesses distinct quality, flavor, and taste. There are no two wines that are seemingly alike. And to come up with variations, wine makers planted and blended different vines that would collaboratively make up a unique-tasting and fine wine.
Bordeaux wines were said to have existed in the post 48 AD and were originally created for soldiers. As the years advanced, Bordeaux wines found other markets and were thereby exported, though in the earlier years wine exportation was never seen as a grand idea. Bordeaux wine industry witnessed several threats before like infestations and critical economic difficulties, but emerged from them successfully.
Quite often a good wine is a great wine when paired with the right food. Some food and wine pairings are quite obvious where as others are often illusive. Are you planning a dinner and want to see what wine would go best with it? Have you had a great meal that was perfectly paired with a wine? Please share it so we can all enjoy the wine pairing.
Welcome to the Virtual Wine Tasting Club. Every month in our online wine tasting series we will taste a different wine and post our tasting notes. In advance, if possible, please post the wine you will be trying that fits the tasting. The tasting will last one month so you can taste and post your notes in that time frame. Please ask questions about the wine we're tasting, post recommendations for future wine tastings and make this online wine tasting group a wonderful, interactive, informative wine discussion.
Welcome to the Charlotte Wine Group. I'm looking for a couple of group leaders to to take over this group once we get it up and running. If you would like to organize or plan things please let me know. If you are in the area please join up. If you know of an event or tasting in the area please post it.
