RyE: I one hundred percent agree with your previous comment!! Although, I'm starting to venture into whites, just for a new experience (it's difficult).
May 22, 2008
maramatte → RyE: I feel pretty much the same way about whites as you do but I do not mind a good Soave or Reisling if for some reason I have to have one... They are in no way better than any red though! :)

The first wine tasting for the Boston Group! Please bring a bottle of anything you like under $50.8:30 PM Eastern time (sorry, Mark, PST doesn't work for our regional group!) at Sweet Basil restaurant.
Pinot noir grape may be quite difficult to cultivate and vinify, but it produces the finest wine in the history of mankind. Originally from the region of Burgundy, France, pinot noir is now grown and cultivated in several places outside of scenic France such as Austria, Australia, Chile, Canada, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Moldova, Switzerland, and the United States. Specifically, Oregon vineyards has thus far become one of the most successful planting fields of pinot noir primarily because of their exceptional climate that so well matches the grape's nature.
Pinot noir wine, a light-colored red wine, is aromatic and flavorful, suggestive of black cherry, tomato, raspberry, strawberry, cinnamon, mint, and mushroom. It is velvety in texture and seductive in nature, and may typically go well with any food because of its versatility. And in fact, any meal becomes extra special with a bottle of pinoit noir wine and a romantic toast.
Welcome to the Virtual Wine Tasting Club. Every month in our online wine tasting series we will taste a different wine and post our tasting notes. In advance, if possible, please post the wine you will be trying that fits the tasting. The tasting will last one month so you can taste and post your notes in that time frame. Please ask questions about the wine we're tasting, post recommendations for future wine tastings and make this online wine tasting group a wonderful, interactive, informative wine discussion.
Welcome to the Greater Boston Wine Group. I'm looking for a couple of group leaders to to take over this group once we get it up and running. If you would like to organize or plan things please let me know. If you are in Boston, Cambridge, Brookline, Back Bay, North Shore, South Shore, Metro West and beyond please join up. If you know of an event or tasting in the area please post it.
This group is for everyone. Check in here to meet one another, talk about your favorite wine, restaurants, outings, travels, and/or just get to know the others who belong to Must Love Wine. We already know we have one thing in common, we all love wine.
