You will find a few good dry whites and very few good dry reds. Heron Hill is in a pretty local and has some good wines. One of the more visited is Bully Hill, some of their wines are good, but only the sweet ones really. There is a little place named Ravines that I really recommend, they are small and really good, I think. also Red Newt makes some good wines and has a nice location. There are tons of other places, if you let me know how long you will be visiting and what lakes you plan on spending the most time I will make more specific suggestions, but it is also fun to just stop and try anything that looks interesting. Enjoy! less

I made some Malbec and Pinot Grigio last year in my basement, but this year I have not had the chance due to moving. I am heading back to Italy for the coming month and am planning on spending a week at my friends vineyard near Florence http://www.ilcavallone.it/ to try out his wines from last year and give him a hand with his beautiful place. Do you host a show about wines? Best. D.

I am sure that you already have seen this, but here is a map around Seneca lake http://senecalakewine.com/jc/content/view/25/49/ There are a number of wineries. I have not tried all, but Glenora has some pretty good reislings, Belhurst Castle is right in Geneva and is a pretty place and some of the wines are pretty good too. Just experience and let me know what you find, I would love to hear about your experience. Have a great trip. less
