Every time I've been to Kauai its only rained 1 or 2 days. I usually hit Costco for wine, cheese, crackers and drive to the north of the island to Princeville. The condo that I rent faces the ocean so we watch the wales and hike every day up around Hanalei Bay. End the day by grilling some fish or beef. Hmmm makes me want to go right now.

Mark, I hope you know I am just kidding around. We do have a local rivalry with them but I know most of their employees and they are a good bunch of people.

If you ever get in the area, you could be tasting for days...You may want to rent a house. (kidding) Lodi has some of the oldest Zins. I live here and It seems like I am always trying something new. ;o) I have so many favorites.
KeciaI love trying new and different wines when traveling, but when I went to Maui a few months ago...I was so pleased to find local Lodi California wines available there also. Honeslty, I go (to Hawaii) for the Kona coffee. ;o)
About Me
HMMMMMMMMM....Besides rollin' in the fast lane and stayin' true to myself...
I am simple yet complex. Quiet and reserved until you know me. I'm sarcastic and I love people who can make me laugh, and those who enjoy to laugh!
I enjoy those who don't take life so seriously that they forget to have fun.
I have not forgotten the simple joys, and often act like a big kid myself. But don't be fooled by my youthful face and manner. I have the wisdom, cynicisim and insight of a forty six year old.
I am fortunate to live in the Mecca of Wine Country. I am a hard pressed Macchia Red Wine Lover. FLIRTATIOUS~ I Love most Zins...Michael~David Winery a big Fave of mine. 7 Deadly Zins. I attend many Wine shows, tastings and releases. Sometimes a little too many. HA!

Welcome to the Virtual Wine Tasting Club. Every month in our online wine tasting series we will taste a different wine and post our tasting notes. In advance, if possible, please post the wine you will be trying that fits the tasting. The tasting will last one month so you can taste and post your notes in that time frame. Please ask questions about the wine we're tasting, post recommendations for future wine tastings and make this online wine tasting group a wonderful, interactive, informative wine discussion.

I am not a wine snob, and I have been involved in the wine industry long enough to not be intimidated or bullied by people who think you have to spend a lot of money to find good wines. When I worked at Wine.com, my employee picks always turned into the best sellers. I would like to start a discussion that will bring to light lesser known (but not impossible to find) wines. All are encouraged to share what they know on this subject with the rest of us.
