GirlwithaGlass: Hi...re: the blind tasting the Lynmar came in 1st, then the Bogle. Have you had a Lynmar? They are a small producer. But I highly recommend Bogle's Old Vine Zin and their Merlot for every day wines.

Your website is top notch :-) Interesting blind tasting. So the Bogle came out ahead of the others I take it? I've been partial to Barnett Vineyards Pinot Noir and Chardonnay's. A few more dollars but worth every sip. Cheers.

Cheers.

JettvineBeen out for a while... just checking in to see how things are going. All my empty bottles are getting scooped up by local crafty folks who are making lamps or whatever out of them. RRR. Just advertised them for free on craigs list.

Mark: Hi Mike, thank you for being a part of Must Love Wine. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please let me know.
About Me
Been into wines forever. Started with a Riesling '59er that blew my socks off. Now its all about big complex reds, the frenchy'er the better. C'est la vie. Its hard to have a favorite, but indeed, if left on a desert isle with one choice, make it a French Burgundy. No offense to the left coast - Love those Russian River Pinots, Amador Zin's, Cali Rhone Rangers, etc... etc... Photo expo covers some of these. Now I assist a very cool woman with a very cool website: www.winewomenonline.com. Check it out sometime. (actually, the website has been recently shut down, and, is now for sale -- great potential for ambitious person(s)) Wine country trip documentaries, gifts, and blog.

Welcome to the Virtual Wine Tasting Club. Every month in our online wine tasting series we will taste a different wine and post our tasting notes. In advance, if possible, please post the wine you will be trying that fits the tasting. The tasting will last one month so you can taste and post your notes in that time frame. Please ask questions about the wine we're tasting, post recommendations for future wine tastings and make this online wine tasting group a wonderful, interactive, informative wine discussion.
The Best in the Midwest! Great day trips/weekend trips to Wineries..good reasonably priced wines you can usually get throughout the midwest in wine stores.
Below from www.applellationamerica.com
" Wine growing is split almost equally between two areas, each with 2 appellations: southwestern Michigan (Fennville and Lake Michigan Shore AVAs) and northwest Michigan (Leelanau and Old Mission Peninsulas AVAs). Each of these northern growing areas depends on the moderating ‘Lake Effect’ from Lake Michigan and most vineyards are within 25 miles of its shore"
