    Hey Louis,

Sounds like a very intriguing concept you've got going there. I will definitely keep an eye on you! I am drooling over your property and all the amazing fruit growing there. We own 20 acres in Oregon's High Desert and our goal is to retire there to an off-grid lifestyle. But none of the fruit trees and plants you mention will grow (out doors) there. All of our produce will have to be grown in a green house. So, I am very envious! Good luck with your plans and please do keep me posted!

Oh, and if you like all-natural, gourmet scented candles please do check me out: www.yourgourmetcandleshop.com

Thank you for the friend request.

Check our my website www.thecorkscrewdiary.tv ... there are a few opportunities for you with the platform we are creating to review and display wine...
A global travelogue about wine and food, hosted by me, Deborah Gee, the Toasted Hostess. The goal of the Corkscrew Diary is to embrace a wine-curious public with a non-pretentious window to the enjoyment of wine and the whole wine world. Though the primary focus is to be on the vineyards with the winemakers, while not traveling we have been creating vlogs featuring wine and food pairings from "the world headquarters" here in Nashville.
The vlogs are pure "advertainment" - covering all varietals, yet featuring very specific to brands.

We would like to have an opportunity to discuss your options to advertise and the potential for "Spotlighting" your efforts.

    Salute!  less

It was great to work with her. Before she started anything, she sent me a full page questionnaire that helped her understand our vision of the winery.
A month later, I had three concepts on my desk; sample labels and even mock-ups of the logos etched on glass.
I'd be happy to recommend her to anyone!

We are growing black currants (because the birds do not like them as much as the red ones).

Our cranberry is extremely potent and tastes like fruit juice... a double threat!

We are actively seeking investors interested in increments of $1000 (Canadian Dollars). We are offering a secured investments paying 5% interest, compounded annually and payable in a lump sum at the end of 5 years. Contact us for details.
  • About Us Blue Gypsy Wines is the brainchild of Louis Gaal and Claire Faguy. Having dabbled in wine and beer making for more than 2 decades, we decided to take what we learned in the kitchen and combine it with knowledge we gathered while living in Poughkeepsie, in the Hudson Valley of New York State. We have spent several years researching and visiting the wineries in NY and Ontario. One thing we have learned is that wine grapes do not grow well here in the National Capital Region. However, fruits do; in fact, the Macintosh Apple was discovered only a few kilometers south of here!

Our goal is to produce and sell the finest fruit and blended wines in the emerging Eastern Ontario wine region. While we are competing with the other wineries in the region, we feel that this competition should be friendly and co-operative. This is farm country and the rule is to help one another. Certainly, we will try to be the best, but in doing so, we know we are raising the bar for our product and those of our fellow wineries.

In May of 2008, we purchased a magnificent 62-acre property in Oxford Mills, Ontario which extends from Lindsay Road to the South, up to the Kemptville creek to the North. Although it is nothing more than a field right now, we intend to develop the property in stages, beginning with the southern-most 20 acres, which will be home to our fruits, trees and maybe even a few grape vines.

A 2000+ sf eclaimed farm building from the early 1900's was recently purchased and has been moved to the property. The plan is to reassemble it in the Spring. We will be insulating the walls with straw bales.
In 2008, we planted raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb and black currants. We have another 2000 raspberry plants on order for delivery this spring. We have ordered Eden apples and Asian Pears to add to our orchard this spring. This will be in addition to the apple, pear, plum and cherry trees currenty planted. We hope to use these new additions to make ice wine. We'll let you know how that goes in a couple of years!

Please visit our website at www.bluegypsywines.com or join our Facebook group at http://www.new.facebook.com/pages/Blue-Gypsy-Wines/31359105150 for more information. Please contact us at louis@bluegypsywines.com if you are interested in our investmet opportunity.

    Cheers!
