Does drinking wine in nice stemware matter to you?
Do you request a nice glass in restaurants?
Does the taste and feel of the wine change with different type of glass?
Do wine legs look different depending on the glassware used?

True, but I think the quality of the glass is important, too. Must be reasonably delicate - glass that is too thick spoils the experience for me.

Taste, appearance, touch and temperature all part of the experience. Like that old expression about the importance of presentation of food, we first "taste" with our eyes, and stemware is most pleasing to my eye. Touching one's lips to the fine edge of of a wine glass is more pleasing than to a thick goblet. And holding a glass by stem keeps warm fingers away from the wine.

Felicia: I couldn't have said it better myself! (coming from a chick who WILL drink straight from the bottle if neccessary, as it were one night a long, long time ago)! =)
