  I've just discovered my (current) favourite Pinot Noir. A Philippe Bouchard 2006 from Bourgogne. Absolutely divine (and at a bargain price).

  I'll have to check it out. My favorites are Beaux Freres, Handley Cellars, Dom. Drouhin and the ones from Argyle.

  Here are a few you should look into...Addamo, Adrian Fog, Alcina Cellars, Alma Rosa, Au Bon Climat, Auteur Wines, Badge, Davis Family, DuNah, Eagles Trace, Fiddlehead Cellars, Flowers, Fritz, Halleck, Handley, Highfield(NZ), Lachini, Laetitia, Lemelson, Lynmar, Meuller, Ojai, Penner-Ash, Pisoni, Poppy, Sineann. These are the finest pinots I have tasted this year. Poppy @$13. a Santa Barbara cooperative is the lowest priced wine with Lachini's Cuvee Giselle leading the pack @$48 wholesale cost...Giselle is the Pommard clone that needs decanting and smells/tastes like Pommard from Boillot! Plenty of great pinot out there, cheers.

  I don't think you can go too wrong with Cal Pinot in 2007. May go down as one of the great vintages of the century. Bold statement I know, but I think it will be in the Top 10 at least. Of course I will be dead long before my prediction can be proven one way or another:)

  Some really good ones -- Etude, Coleman Estates, Belle Glos, Adler Fels. 2004 seems to be a consistently good year.

  As a self-proclaimed burg-aholic, here are 3 California Pinot Noirs that you should seriously consider:
  
  Rhys Vineyards - low yields, lower alcohol. Amazing wine. From the Santa Cruz Mountains. And, at $40 - $60, an excellent value. Get on the wait list now to get wine in 2 or 3 years.

  Rivers-Marie - again low yields, lower alcohol. Sonoma Coast. Excellent price point, as well. Get on the wait list now to get wine in 2 or 3 years also.

  And, finally, Clos de la Tech.
  Made by Roamnee Conti fanatic, TJ Rogers. Santa Cruz Mountains. Perhaps the most Burgundian of the group. Pricey ($100) but, IMHO, worth every penny. Can go toe to toe with high end Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits wines.
