Rye, I think at a global level, the WSET would be the more recognisable wine qualification. Having worked in export, I know that in the UK, Europe, Middle East, etc, having a WSET qualification is becoming a prerequisite. I know I would certainly love to do it, it just isn't easy in Australia. There aren't many providers here.
