Wine & Roses charity wine tasting and sale is June 14. Anyone planning to go? I'll be there working, either at the Winery check-in table, or where ever I am needed. If you see me, say hi!

This will be the first time in a few years I haven't attended, I'll be in NYC doing some wine related work. Hope people take lots of pics and post them! :)

Yes, I'll be there! With a credit card. I am still mad at myself for missing that case of Cab last year. 40% off and I didn't have that much in my purse! A certain handsome gentleman has offered to be my designated driver (the one benefit of dating a non-drinker. sigh!)

Mark your calendars: The next Wine & Roses Charity Wine Tasting and Sale is June 13, 2010, again at the beautiful Westgate Hotel. I believe the 2009 event sold out, so if you want to attend, go to the website and buy tickets early. It is www.WineAndRoses.net. (not .com). As in past years, there will be award winning wines from the San Diego International Wine Competition as well as well as great food from San Diego restaurants. Wineries pour their wines for tasting, and wines that won Gold and Silver medals will be available for purchase by the case at discounted prices. Prices are reduced even more at the end of the event, though selection will be reduced too. Bring your credit card or checkbook, and if possible bring a designated driver. Or stay the night at the Westgate Hotel - they may offer room deals for Wine & Roses attendees. www.WestgateHotel.com. There are many other hotels within walking distance or short cab ride.

Funny, I didn't get around to posting about the 2010 Wine & Roses. It went well. Not as packed as it was in 2009, so easier to get around to taste the wonderful wine and food. It is an annual event, 2nd Sunday in June, so if you want to go next year, put it on your calendar now. Their website is usually updated few months before the event so you can buy tickets there or at the door.
