Hi all - I've moved to Washington for a year (school related), and while I'm here I'd love to try a bunch of wines that aren't nationally distributed (Hogue, Covey Run, etc). Any suggestions? Thanks!

Come to Woodinville! There's 50 wineries there, the majority of which have very small distribution and are mostly done by the wineries themselves. If you want specifics...
Novelty-Hill, Januik, DiStefano, Brian Carter, Alexandria Nicole, Mark Ryan, Guardian Cellars, Gorman Cellars, Matthews Cellars, Woodhouse Family Cellars, Facelli, Des Voigne, Edmonds, Efeste... The list goes on. Check their Web sites though because a lot are only open on Saturdays.
Have fun!

If time permits, spend a few days in the Yakima valley. I was there for a week last spring and found more wineries and great wines then I had time for. Many were only sold locally. I posted some experiences in my blog (hope you do the same so we can learn from you).
