WIneCrisis, I have been to Dry Comal...and I am very glad you were able to sample the black spanish! What bothered me about my visit was that they said they did not have any black spanish to sample. And I went there just to try it! I have a hard time paying 30+ for a bottle of Texas wine unless I have sampled it first! I have had several other Black Spanish/Lenoir wines throughout Texas! And this varietal grows very well here in Texas! less

The conference will include three seminars, focusing on trends in Texas wine, the distinctive grapes that Texans are using to make those wines, and how consumers can work to get more regional wines in stores and restaurants.
The final event of the day will be a Texas Twitter Taste-off, moderated by Russ Kane of Vintage Texas. Participants will taste some 40 Texas wines and blog or Twitter about them. less
