I read somewhere that the marsanne and roussanne varietals are an "acquired" taste. Well I must've acquired the taste quickly. This is one of a few French Northern Rhone white blends I've had and I've loved every single one. Not too long ago, enjoyed a California marsanne/roussanne wine(bottling was called the Avion if I can remember). In any case, this Crozes-Hermitage Blanc was a lovely wine full of orchard fruit, and a silky (almost like a fine olive oil) texture that seems to characterize these varietals. I admit, it's not for everyone, and certainly won't please any crowds here in California, but break this out for your European guests or rebelious Western friends. Good stuff!
