The 2006 Syrah Lot 390 from Cooper Station in Graton, California pours out a deep red in color with purple hues. On the nose aromas of raspberry, pomegranate, oak and a little smoke. In the mouth flavors of raspberry, cherry and hints of spice. Maybe some faint licorice. Not too tannic. Quite tart and acidic. Dry finish of moderate length. Not as spicy as I like a Syrah to be but quite good and at $9.89 per 750ml bottle a good buy.
