About Me:

I am a recycled astrophysicist and am now a teacher that would make Plato proud (or so I am told). I am a maker of organic wines (as opposed to inorganic?) fermented from the fruit that grows on my mountain property; Santa Rosa plum, pear, elderberry and wild plum. No grapes. I recored a little about every new wine I try in my Palm Zire. I live amongst the vineyards in central California and am a firm believer that the wine should never cost more than the pizza. And yes I have hair under the hat.

Favorite Wines:

Soquel Vineyards is great. Casa Nuestra Cabernet 2000 and Firefly Ridge Chardonnay 2002 have a wonderful aphrodisiac like quality. I am partial to red wines but I also enjoy a good Gewurztraminer. I prefer reds because whites tend to get bitter as they warm and I tend not to be in a hurry. Some things in life just need to be savored.
